openBench Labs confirms effectiveness of Paragon's Drive Backup 10 Server
openBench Labs recently published a report analyzing the benefits Paragon Software's Drive Backup 10 Server has to offer. Paragon created Drive Backup 10 Server to offer disaster recovery (DR) and system migration in physical and virtual environments.
Drive Backup 10 Server creates a copy of a live disk drive on servers or workstations. The copy includes the operating system, all files, programs, updates and databases. Besides using a single backup process to recover files or drive images, the server can also mount a full or synthetic data backup of a virtual disk where files can be copied without having to go through the restore process. Furthermore, this product can be used in both large enterprises and small- to medium-sized business (SMB) environments.
Cachengo offers on-site file-sharing and cloud backup service to SMBs
Cachengo Inc. launched a storage service that combines on-site file-sharing and data backup appliances with an optional cloud storage service for resiliency and disaster recovery. The on-site appliances, CD100 series and CD1200 series, act as file servers that let users share and swap documents and other files. The CD100 and CD1200 appliances can also serve as virtualization platforms. Pricing for the CD100 and CD1200 is $4,000 and $6,000 respectively. The optional cloud storage service, the C2S, sends encrypted data to the cloud, and is collocated in a SaaS 70-compliant facility. The C2S costs 20 cents per GB per month.
