HP introduces new collaboration and data storage consolidation products for SMBs
Hewlett Packard (HP) Co. announced new communication, collaboration, data storage consolidation and networking products this week. HP also introduced new data storage products and online data backup services that can help SMBs protect their data and manage operations.

One of the new products HP is offering include the HP and Microsoft Unified Communication and Collaboration, which can increase business productivity and reduce collaboration costs by combining servers, storage networking and software to streamline operations across messaging and voice applications. Other products HP is offering to simplify collaboration include HP Virtual Rooms, Small Biz Nation and HP 48Upper.
HP also introduced new products aimed at simplifying network convergence. These products include the HPV1410 Switch, HP StorageWorks X310 Data Vault, HP StorageWorks X 1000 Network Storage System and HP StorageWorks P2000 G3 SAS Modular Array. These products work to simplify how networks are built and managed, improve productivity to local and remote files, improve storage capacity and increase performance.
SMBs utilize online data backup service from AT&T
AT&T now offers a new online data backup service for SMBs, AT&T Tech Support 360 Backup and Go. The online data backup service is designed for mobile devices and enables small businesses to access their hard drives and servers wherever they are located.
The Backup and Go service offers unlimited data backup and storage of PC data with remote access for $7 a month.
PROMISE upgrades its VessRAID iSCSI storage for SMBs
PROMISE Technology, a supplier of RAID storage products, announced that it has upgraded its VessRAID iSCSI series of storage subsystems for SMBs. It now offers combined iSCSI and network-attached storage (NAS) features in the same storage box. Other new features include both file- and block-based data transfers over a network, remote data syncing, NAS fusion features and better troubleshooting processes.
Gladinet now supports Google Storage for file servers and desktops
Gladinet, a cloud storage access platform company, announced that it now supports the new Google Storage for Developers in two of its products: Gladinet Cloud Desktop and Gladinet CloudAFS. Now, desktops and file servers will have easier access to Google Storage when using these two products. Features of Google Storage include high-bandwidth storage and a RESTful API. Also, small business users who need to expand their storage can now use Gladinet products to attach to Google Storage to create a multitiered storage platform that may speed up restore times.
