Intel Corp., and InMage Systems announced this week that InMage's recovery offerings are now compatible with Intel's Server Continuity Suite.
InMage said its technology - including continuous data protection (CDP), asynchronous replication over IP, application failover, and WAN optimization - is primarily used for disaster recovery purposes, but can be reconfigured to address problems with local backup.

The Intel suite manages server hardware, storage, and backup, and will use the InMage CDP technology as part of its ability to backup data in real time, according to Intel.
Intel said its Server Continuity Suite is designed to integrate multiple functions into a unified GUI, helping to simplify IT data management for SMBs.
The company said the InMage technology will be integrated with Intel's lineup of server boards and systems.
