Thecus, McAfee partner on NAS device

Thecus Technology Corp. and McAfee announced a partnership this week that will bundle one of the software maker’s anti-virus products with NAS devices from the storage vendor.

According to Thecus, the company’s NAS products will ship with McAfee

AV and will be aimed at home, SMB and enterprise-level customers.

McAfee’s anti-virus software includes isolation of threats; removal of viruses, worms and other malicious code; scanning of compressed, archived or packed files; plus it is compatible with third-party applications.
