QNAP Systems Inc., unveiled new NAS expansion products with capacities of up to 400 TB aimed at the high end of the SMB market during the Computex Taipei 2012 show this week.

QNAP's Turbo NAS lineup -- available in tower or rack-mount models and equipped with eight-, 10-, 12- or 16- drive bays -- are billed for “high-end” SMB customers, and support Windows, Mac, Linux and UNIX platforms. Turbo NAS tower models have a built-in capacity of between 8 TB to 40 TB, and QNAP’s rack-mount models can carry between 16 TB to 64 TB of built-in storage, according to QNAP.
The company also introduced its NAS v3.7 management firmware upgrade, which adds features for business applications to many of its Turbo NAS models, and should be available within a week, according to QNAP.
